Ariadne Daskalakis

Notes

Violinist Ariadne Daskalakis pursues an international career concertizing on modern and baroque violin and mentoring young professional musicians as Professor at the Cologne Conservatory for Music and Dance and Artistic Director of the Academy Palazzo Ricci in Montepulciano.

Recent Reviews:
"...internationally recognized, prizewinner Ariadne Daskalakis was the ideal partner for the virtuosic solo part - for example in the rhapsodic, drunken passages in the festive Fall harvest, the soulful "Cantilena" of the "Largo" from Winter, and in general with the mediterranean fire and the passionate abandon of her presentation." "What a gorgeous tone Daskalakis has!"

American Record Guide

"....striking athletecism, musical insight, expressive embellishment and elegiac lyricism."

The Strad

"Poetic. She has a pure, but strong tone and finely nuanced vibrato and legato. The sheer agility of her playing is no end in itself."
